XLSX Child Line Import

A new tool has been deployed across all key child documents (purchase chain, sales, WMS, BOM dossier, BOM production).

Why it’s useful: #

Save time during implementations by easily:

  • Injecting initial stock
  • Performing inventories
  • Reimporting technical offers prepared in MS Excel
  • Generating purchase orders pre-filled in MS Excel

How it works: #

  • The document must be in in preparation status
  • The Import XLSX button becomes available
  • You can import an Excel table using these rules:
    • First column: system field name
    • Column order: matches logical input order

→ The Excel file will be automatically attached to the document.

Technical details: #

  • Processing is done in the background, much faster than copy-pasting
  • Document limit: 250 lines
    • If you exceed the limit, the system will split the import into several documents
    • All files remain attached to the first document

Attention

Background processes triggered by users are limited to 2 minutes

  • Example: importing 4000 lines in one go might fail → split the file into smaller chunks
