Manage data characteristics anywhere.
Introduction #
Properties allow you to store lists of values and link them to any document or detail line.\nEach property is made up of a list of texts or values.\nYou can also activate cross-links or multi-links on each property.
A dedicated side view panel makes it easy to access these properties.\nYou simply need to define the context in which they will be used.
Property Settings #
Define the following elements:
- Numbering prefix
- Numbering format
- Default role for value editing and link management

Roles are copied individually to each property.
Property Categories #
Categories are essential for managing property templates.\nWhen defining a template, assigning a category is mandatory.
You can restrict a category to a specific document type.\n
Example: A category dedicated only to the batchSN document.
Property Templates #
There is no dedicated document type for templates.\nYou just need to mark a property as a (template) and assign it a category.
Templates are then used to preconfigure new properties with an initial composition structure\n(often with no predefined values).
Example: Creating a new property by importing a structure from a template.
Basic Property Features #
- Add a property
- Add a link to a document

Astuce
Use the Side View panel for better property management.

The main document (master) is defined by the link marked as “is master”.\nIf none is defined manually, the first link will be considered as master.

You can lock the composition to secure the stored values.
Side View Configuration #
Defining property access: #
- Go to the ioi module, select a document type (doctype)
- In the doctype settings, open the Highlight info section and configure access to properties
Add a definition: #

- Fill in the view selector
- Set the display order
- Select Property Management
The main link is managed at the doctype level. Two options:
- Master : the property will be attached to the document header or a field in the header
- Detail : the property will be attached to a detail line or a field in that line
Attention
If the property is linked to a specific field (not globally to the document), you must specify the field and add the [LINK] parameter.

Example:
Side View & Highlight Info #
- Open a document of the configured type
- Open the Side View / Highlight Info panel
- If several views are available, select one
Property linked to the master (header) #
- Click on New Property to create an empty one
- Or click on New Property from Template :
Select a category (only those compatible with the document will appear)

You can change the grid profile used. All profiles must be defined in the ioi Property doctype.
Attention
Don’t forget to save your property definition!
Property linked to specific data in a detail line : #
- Click on a line in the document.
- The property remains bound to that row as long as no other row is selected.

Locking Values #
Click the lock icon to toggle between lock/unlock for securing the property values.
Adding Additional Links #
A property can be linked to multiple document types.\nThe first link is considered the master link.

Do not remove the master link.
