ioi Bulk Update

This module allows you to update the value of a specific field across multiple records in a single operation.

\nThis can be useful to avoid reverting documents to the In Standby status, saving time by skipping unnecessary manual operations. It is also ideal when the same change needs to be applied to a large number of documents.

Configuration #

From the ioi Bulk Update doctype, you can configure the necessary parameters:

• Document Type: The doctype that contains the field to be updated.
• Field: Dropdown list to select the target field.
• Update Value: The new value to assign to the selected field.

• Condition: SQL clause to filter the records you want to update.

Query Evaluation #

Once the fields are filled in, you can evaluate the query to display the records that will be affected:

Clicking on a record in the result list opens a new tab with the corresponding document.

In the example below, the field sales_catalog_id is currently set to STANDARD:

Number of Records Affected #

Back in the ioi Bulk Update doctype, the number of affected records may be displayed:

Update Execution #

A confirmation message will appear, warning you that this action is irreversible.

If the operation is successful, a confirmation message will be displayed.

Returning to the customer record, you can verify that the field has been updated (in this example: cleared) :
