ioi sites`: Here sites are defined.
-
Antwerp** handles the sales network in Flanders and internationally. We have a large stock for international shipments and a small production facility to adapt bikes for international sales,
Brussels looks after the sales network in the Brussels area and also serves as a repair center for bikes under warranty. Our CFO is also based in Brussels,
-
Liège handles the sales network in Wallonia and houses our main production site.
Astuce
You can see that each site is attached to a division. This is mandatory.
Multi-Magasins for multi-sites or true multi-sites?
- As we have several sites, our manager asked us to take into account transport costs between sites and to consider each site as a separate business unit.
- So, in the
ioi Customercustomer module, we identified three internal customers, typed with theinternalmode: see identifiersTHE_FUN_BIKE.... - We did the same on the supplier side in
ioi Supplier. - We’ve linked them together at customer/supplier level with the
customer linkand thesupplier link.
Astuce
- Why: Our boss wants to obtain costs by site, and to do this, stock movements between sites must be carried out by means of deliveries (customers) and receipts (suppliers) in order to integrate transport costs and/or valuation and invoicing policies between sites. This makes it possible to have a separate cost for each item per site. We also have delivery costs between sites.
- More simply, we could have had just one global site, with stores for each site. We could then only transfer between stores.
- Here are the inter-site customer/supplier. There are no plans to invoice between sites, to make configuration simpler.
