ERP under DOS #
Far ahead of its time, the concept of ERP was already present in the first DOS version of this software. Inventory management, sales management, purchasing management, project management, production management, barcode clocking - it was all there in the early 90s.
One of the first Windows-based ERPs. #
In 1996, Silicon Master was released under 16-bit Windows. It was one of the first ERPs with integrated production and planning management. To manage the data, we chose the Paradox database, a simple yet powerful database.
A seamless transition to 32-bit #
The release of the ERP on the 32-bit Windows NT system was a seamless transition. No more memory limits. No more maximum window display.
Switch to SQL Client/Server environment #
Change of management model to combine performance, consistency and reliability. This change took place behind the scenes. This change gave a great improvement with almost no database storage limit.
MDI and TDI interface changed, ergonomics improved. #
